Need For Speed 2 Special Edition (NFS 2 SE) PC Game Information:
Need for Speed II, released in Japan as Over Drivin' II, is a 1997 racing video game, developed by Electronic Arts Canada and published by Electronic Arts. It is a part of the Need for Speed series and follows Road & Track Presents: The Need for Speed, significantly deviating from the emphasis of realism in The Need for Speed to arcade-like gameplay, though it introduces car tuning. As does its predecessor, Need for Speed II features several exotic cars, and includes tracks set in various parts of the world. The game also opted to remove police pursuits introduced in The Need for Speed.

Gameplay
There are three main game types. The first two are single race and tournament and the last is a knockout race. Single races allow players to become familiar with the circuits and increase their skill of any one of the six tracks. The six tracks are called Mediterranean, Mystic Peaks, Proving Grounds, Outback, North Country, and Pacific Spirit.Cars that are playable from the start include the McLaren F1, Ferrari F50, Ford GT90, Jaguar XJ220, Lotus GT1 and Lotus Espirit V8, Italdesign Cala, and the Isdera Commendatore 112i.A bonus car, the Ford Indigo concept, can be unlocked as well. The game features extensive multi-player options including two to eight players over a LAN, by modem or serial connection and with split-screen racing. In a single race the player selects the opposing car, while all cars compete in a tournament and at the start of a knockout race. There is also two playing stylesarcade or simulation. Arcade mode improves handling while simulation mode is intended to provide more realism.

The number of laps can be chosen from two, four or six. Automatic or manual transmission as well car paint color are selectable in all game types.

A tournament race involves playing all tracks in order with the starting track able to be selected. Only after successfully completing a tournament in first place can knockout races can be played. Knockout races involve racing two laps over each of the six tracks with a number of opponents. These disqualification races always start on the easiest circuit and continue through each map, with the player who finishes last being eliminated after each race. After advancing through all the tracks another circuit is revealed. Monolithic Studios can then only be played by completing all knockout races first.
Special featuresAs in the original Need for Speed, the game features detailed specifications, history, and audio commentaries on each vehicle. The largest feature are several full motion video (FMV) segments for each of the cars, several of them being the professional produced videos for the concept vehicles. Additionally, each vehicle interior could be viewed through genuine photographs taken in a 360 degree panoramic view. This marks the last time such extravagant features are to be found in the Need for Speed series as future games render any material completely in 3D.It is also possible to enter a number of codes at the start menu which if entered correctly, would make a swooshing noise. These codes replaced the chosen car with a vehicle from the games backdrop traffic. These vehicles could then be raced instead and had more realistic performance. Background vehicles included a Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Variant, Mazda MX5, Jeep Comanche, Volkswagen Transporter, Yellow School Bus, Citron 2CV, Jeep YJ, Toyota Landcruiser, Audi 100 Quattro, two Unimogs, BMW 520i, Mercedes-Benz SL 500, and Volvo 850 R station wagon. You could also drive various parts of the scenery including a large green T-rex, a little wooden kiosk and a western style wagon. The scenery items made no engine noise but would always make a tire screech when moving off the start line.

GTA 4 (PC) Grand Theft Auto IV Game Information:
Grand Theft Auto IV is a 2008 open world action-adventure video game published by Rockstar Games, and developed by Rockstar North. It has been released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles, and for the Windows operating system. The game is a reboot of the Grand Theft Auto series, depicting a separate timeline and world from its predecessors (known as the "high-definition universe"[3]) and is set in fictional Liberty City, based heavily on modern day New York City.[a] The game follows Niko Bellic, a veteran of an unnamed war in Eastern Europe, who comes to the United States in search of the American Dream, but quickly becomes entangled in a world of gangs, crime, and corruption. Like other games in the series, GTA IV is composed of elements from driving games and third-person shooters, and features open world gameplay, in which players can interact with the game world at their leisure. Grand Theft Auto IV also features several online multiplayer modes.

Two expansion packs have been developed for the game, originally released as downloadable content for the Xbox 360 version throughout 2009. Both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony feature new plots that are interconnected with the main GTA IV storyline, and follow new protagonists. The two episodes have been released together for all platforms as a stand-alone game called Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City. A bundle that contained both the original GTA IV game and the Episodes was also released, titled Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition. The 2009 handheld game Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars revisited the Liberty City of GTA IV.

As the first game of the critically acclaimed series to appear on seventh generation consoles, Grand Theft Auto IV was widely anticipated. A major commercial and critical success, it broke industry records with sales of around 3.6 million units on its first day of release and grossing more than $500 million in revenue in the first week, selling an estimated 6 million units worldwide. As of September 2011, the game had shipped over 22 million copies. Grand Theft Auto IV won numerous awards from both gaming and mainstream press, including several recognitions as Game of the Year, and is in the highest ranks on several professional game critic review-aggregating websites. As of 2012 the game has sold over 25 million copies.

Gameplay

Quite like its predecessors, the core gameplay of GTA IV consists of giving the player a large, open world environment in which to move around freely. On foot, the player character can walk, run, jump, climb over obstacles and swim, as well as use weapons and perform basic hand-to-hand combat. Players can steal and drive a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, boats, helicopters, and motorcycles. Grand Theft Auto IV takes advantage of Natural Motion's Euphoria engine, which combines artificial intelligence, bio-mechanics and physics to make open, non-linear environments that allow players to explore and choose how they wish to play the game. Although completing most of the storyline missions are necessary to progress through the game and unlock certain content and parts of the city, they are not required, as players can complete them at their own leisure. When not attempting a storyline mission, players can free-roam, giving them the ability to do activities. Side missions such as locating and destroying criminals in the police car database or participating in street races can keep the player occupied for hours.

It is possible to have many active missions running at one time, as some missions run over the course of several days and require the player to wait for further instructions or events. The player can also attempt a variety of optional side missions. Grand Theft Auto IV also contains morality choices at many points throughout the game, which alter the storyline appropriately depending on the player's choice. Which of the game's two different endings occurs is determined by one of these choices.

Combat and police response

Gunfights in GTA IV are conducted using a third-person system. The game's cover system allows the player to deftly move between cover, to fire blindly, aim freely, and target a specific enemy. Individual body parts can also be targeted. Additionally, Niko can perform "cinematic executions" at certain points in the story. Niko's health is shown by a green semicircle on the left side of the mini-map, while a blue semicircle on the right represents armour. When locked on a target, their health and (if applicable) armour level appears in the target circle. There are more hand-to-hand combat moves than in past games in the series, namely punching, kicking, "alternative" punching, dodging and blocking, disarming an opponent, and counter-attacking.

If Niko is injured, he can recover health by eating, drinking soda, sleeping, using medical kits, using his mobile phone to call for paramedics, using a "cheat", calling one of his girlfriends for medical advice, etc. Body armour can absorb gunshots and explosive damage but is gradually used up in the process. If Niko's health level reaches zero, the action stops, and he re-appears at the nearest hospital having lost some money (but retaining his weapons).

The Wanted Level system has changed from previous Grand Theft Auto games. Although their star levels are retained (which increase with the number or severity of criminal acts by the player, with corresponding increases in law enforcement interference), the law enforcement agencies which may pursue the player have changed, with the focus on making them more realistic. In previous Grand Theft Auto titles, as wanted level rose the player was pursued by increasingly well-armed and violent agencies, culminating with the Army at the highest wanted level. In Grand Theft Auto IV, the police are assisted by NOOSE (National Office of Security Enforcement a parody of SWAT and DHS officers at a three-star wanted level, who are joined by either NOOSE's Tactical Response Unit (a parody of the NYPD ESU) or FIB (Federal Investigation Bureau a parody of the FBI) at even higher wanted levels. In this case the army is not available in the game. Like previous GTA games, a police helicopter pursues the player at a three-star wanted level, but this is replaced by a helicopter gunship at the five-star level, though it utilises sharp-shooters rather than its mounted gatling guns.

When the police are in pursuit of Niko, a circular search area appears on the map in which the police will be looking for him. The area grows with increased wanted level, and re-centres itself on Niko's location if he is spotted by the police. If the player escapes from the search area without being seen by law enforcement units, and can stay out of sight of police for a short time without committing any more crimes, the search is soon aborted. This is different from the previous methods of evading authorities such as changing clothes and collecting bribes. Wanted levels can also be lost either by changing the colour of the current vehicle, or entering a safehouse and going to sleep. The player has the option of attempting to escape arrest before being handcuffed, at the cost of increasing the wanted level by one star (the traditional bold letters that note "Busted" for arrest are absent), although the police will immediately open fire. However, this move is only possible with a one star wanted level, as the police will focus more on killing the player at higher wanted levels, rather than arresting him, and is only possible when the player is on foot, as, like previous games, the player is immediately arrested when pulled out of a vehicle.

Vehicles

Common to the rest of the series, vehicles are the predominant means of travel in GTA IV. Every vehicle in the game uses the in-game minimap as a GPS device. "Way-points" can be placed on the map, plotting the shortest legal route between Niko and the destination on the minimap. The player can also hail a taxi or cab, which allows travel between destinations without having to drive. The journey can also be skipped, so the player arrives at their destination instantly. However, if the player decides to skip the journey, it will cost them more money. During car chases, the player can focus the camera on the target vehicle by holding the cinematic camera button, and also free-aim and fire out of the vehicle using one-handed firearms. The player may also drop grenades.[12] The player cannot pilot fixed-wing aircraft, which was possible in previous games of the series, but can still pilot helicopters. The game also lacks parachutes, though they were later reintroduced in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony. The player can also take the Subway system. This allows the player to travel quickly between stations across the city. The service is very cheap, as the cost is only $1 per station. There are 26 stations in total across the map, however a 27th station, called Dukes Blvd is closed for maintenance.

GTA 3 (PC) Grand Theft Auto III Information
Grand Theft Auto III is a 2001 open world action-adventure computer and video game developed by DMA Design (now Rockstar North) in the United Kingdom, and published by Rockstar Games. It is the first 3D title in the Grand Theft Auto series. It was released in October 2001 for the PlayStation 2, May 2002 for Microsoft Windows, in November 2003 for the Xbox and in November 2010 for Mac OS X. It was made available on Steam on January 4, 2008 and on the Mac App Store on August 18, 2011. The game was released for iOS and Android mobile devices on December 15, 2011. The game was released for the PlayStation 3 in September 2012. The game is preceded by Grand Theft Auto 2 and succeeded by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

GTA III is set in modern Liberty City, a fictional metropolitan city based on New York City. The game follows the story of a criminal named Claude[a] who was betrayed by his girlfriend in a bank heist and is required to work his way up the crime ladder of the city before confronting her. GTA lll is composed of elements from driving games and third-person shooters.

The game's concept and gameplay, coupled with the use of a 3D game engine for the first time in the series, contributed to Grand Theft Auto III's positive reception upon its release; it became 2001's top-selling video game and is cited as a landmark in video games for its far-reaching influence within the industry. GTA III's success was a significant factor in the series' subsequent popularity; as of 2008, five GTA prequels set before events in GTA III have been released, particularly Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories which revisits GTA III's setting just three years prior. GTA III's violent and sexual content has also been the source of public concern and controversy. According to Metacritic, GTA III and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 both hold an average critic score of 97 out of 100, making them the highest-rated PlayStation 2 games of all time.

Story
Claude Speed is a small-time thief working with his girlfriend and accomplice, Catalina. They have been robbing small banks, betting shops and drugstores around the Southwestern U.S. After nine years of this drifting, they arrive to Liberty City, hoping to make it big. On a rainy day in October 2001, they rob a Liberty City bank with an accomplice and a getaway driver called Miguel. They charge in, take the money, and leave through the back. They run, but Catalina shoots the accomplice. Claude witnesses this, but she shoots him as well, leaving him in the alley behind the Bank of Liberty as she escapes with Miguel. Claude manages to survive the wound, but he is arrested, found guilty, and sentenced to 10 years to jail.

The game then starts with the police convoy, transferring prisoners (including Claude) to the Liberty City prison. While they are crossing the Callahan Bridge, a terrorist group ambushes the convoy, but they accidentally drop a bomb on the bridge, which goes unnoticed. They subdue the guards and take out the prisoners. Claude notices the bomb just as it explodes, destroying a part of the bridge and killing everyone except Claude and a fellow prisoner. The fellow prisoner introduces himself as 8-Ball and takes him to a small apartment to change out of his prison jumpsuit.

8-Ball introduces Claude to Luigi Goterelli, owner of the Sex Club 7 and also the made-man of the Leone family. Claude is later introduced to Joey Leone, the son of Don Salvatore Leone, head of the Leone family. Claude starts working for the high ranking Toni Cipriani, Salvatore's Capo who helped defeat the Sicilian Mafia years before. During the work, Claude finds himself opposed of the Cartel, who are the dealers of a new designer drug, called SPANK.

Once he is respected enough, Claude finally meets Salvatore at a conference. Salvatore takes a liking to Claude and has him work directly against the Cartel. During this Claude realizes Catalina, now affiliated with the Cartel, is in charge of SPANK dealings. In the process, Maria, Salvatore's young and strained wife, begins to take a liking to Claude. Salvatore grows suspicious and leads him to a death trap via car bomb; but Maria saves him, remaining close to him throughout the story line.

He later goes to work for others, including the Liberty City Yakuza leader Asuka Kasen, Maria's close friend (and a lover) who gets Claude to kill Salvatore, cutting off all Claude's (and the Yakuza's) ties to the Mafia. Claude's work leads him to allying himself with other criminal sources outside of the Mafia, such as Ray Machowski, who is allied with the Yakuza and, like Claude, is an enemy of the Cartel, Claude later saves Machowski from Internal Affairs, who seem to drop their investigation on him.

Claude also meets the charismatic media mogul Donald Love, who is responsible for causing media fronts to block the conspiracy of his past cannibalism and necrophilia. In an effort to start a war between the Yakuza and Cartel, Claude and Love organize the death of Asuka's brother Kenji Kasen and frame the Cartel. While on an errand, Claude finally confronts Catalina face to face, but she eludes death and leaves her second-in-command Miguel to his fate. Miguel is confronted by Asuka, who abducts him believing him to have knowledge of her brother's death. Miguel begs Claude to save him but Claude, remembering his role in the betrayal, leaves him. Shortly after this Love disappears under unknown circumstances.

On the side, Claude works for smaller street gangs, like the Diablos, Southside Hoods, the Yardies and serial killer Marty Chonks. The Yardies leader, King Courtney, is responsible for Claude's falling out with the Diablos and betrays Claude himself after allying himself with the Cartel. This leaves the Southside Hoods to be one of the few allies Claude has.

With the war with the Cartel intensifying, Asuka and Maria learn of Claude's history with Catalina and get him to fight many Cartel operations head on. Eventually, his exploits attract the attention of Catalina. This results in Maria's abduction by the Cartel and holding a ransom for her. This gives Claude the opportunity to face Catalina once more.

When Claude makes it to the Cartel's mansion, he confronts Catalina who attempts to have Claude killed on the spot. Claude overpowers his would-be executioners and fights his way to the City's Dam. In the resulting final firefight, Catalina attempts to flee in a helicopter and makes a final attempt on Claude's life. Claude finds a discarded rocket launcher and proceeds to shoot down Catalina. As the game ends, Claude and Maria leave, and Maria starts talking to Claude. He takes out the gun, and a gunshot is heard.

Command And Conquer Generals Information
Command & Conquer: Generals is a real-time strategy (RTS) video game and the seventh installment in the Command & Conquer series. It was released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems in 2003 and 2004. While the Windows version of Generals was developed by EA Pacific and published by EA Games, the Mac OS version was developed by Aspyr Media and published by MacSoft Mac OS. In the game, the player can choose from three different factions: the United States, China and the Global Liberation Army (GLA).

Generals utilizes SAGE (Strategy Action Game Engine), an extended version of the Command & Conquer: Renegade's 3D engine. An expansion pack, entitled Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour, was additionally released for PC in 2003, and for Mac OS in 2005. Both Generals and Zero Hour were met with highly positive reviews. A sequel, Command & Conquer: Generals 2, was in development, until it was repurposed to a free-to-play game known as simply Command & Conquer. The new game will be based around the Generals franchise and is expected to launch in 2013.

Gameplay
Command and Conquer Generals operates like most other real-time strategy games, in that the player must construct a base, acquire resources, build various combat and support units, and defeat opponents. Various unit types can be constructed, ranging from infantry to vehicles and air units. The player may control the United States of America, the People's Republic of China, or the Global Liberation Army, and each side has its unique characteristics and abilities. All sides share some similarities, such as training infantry at a barracks, building armored vehicles at a factory, possessing "high tech" buildings needed for more advanced units, possessing a means to acquire additional resources and possessing a unique superweapon.

The game's interface is similar to that of real-time strategy games such as Age of Empires or StarCraft. The player selects buildings to bring up build orders and purchase upgrades, and can select individual units to activate their special abilities. Structures are built by selecting dedicated builder units and placing the structure anywhere on the map.

As with other real-time strategy games, the various units have advantages and disadvantages against other units, and the player is encouraged to mix unit types in order to succeed and fight tactically with various unit abilities in order to win.

For example, rifle infantry are capable of quickly killing other infantry types, but are vulnerable to light vehicles and dedicated anti-infantry/anti-air units such as tankettes and APCs, which in turn are vulnerable to main battle tanks, which themselves are vulnerable to missile-equipped infantry and aircraft.

As the game progresses and the player defeats enemy units in battle, the player will gain "experience" points, which are used to purchase "Generals Abilities," unique abilities that range from enhancing units and unlocking new unit types to powerful air strikes, one-shot enhancements to units, or targetable "spawn points" to drop or create groups of units anywhere on the map.

As individual units attack and defeat enemy units or capture buildings, they gain "veterancy" and become more powerful, much like the General commanding them. Higher-ranking units attack faster, have more health, and heal or repair themselves.

Single-player
In a single-player campaign, a player can play any of the three sides in any order, with each side's campaign consisting of seven missions. The storyline follows the order of China first, then the GLA, then the USA. Additionally, there is a training mission that can be accessed directly regardless of the player's progress in the campaign. In this mission, the player is fighting as USA against the GLA

Multiplayer
Games can be played both over the Internet or a local area network (LAN). It adopts a similar format to skirmish mode whereby the goal is to eliminate the other team. Games over the Internet can be completely random, in the form of a Quick Match. Players can also play in Custom Matches where the number of players, the map and rules are decided upon by the host. Generals includes online play through Tunngle on Windows.

Soundtrack
Generals presents players with a separate musical score for each faction. The United States' theme music consists of epic, militaristic scores composed by Bill Brown and Mikael Sandgren. China's musical themes feature apocalyptic, orchestral scores combined with East Asian instrumentation. The GLA faction's theme soundtrack can be described as a combination of Middle Eastern and few South Asian sounds coupled with heavy metal music, similar to the music in the Somalian sequences in Black Hawk Down.

Factions
Main article: List of Command & Conquer: Generals factions

Each of the three factions has a play style that corresponds with its real-world counterpart. Every faction has advantages and disadvantages. Each one also has upgrades to improve its army. The GLA Units are generally cheaper than their Chinese and American Counterparts at the cost of being less durable and less sophisticated. Additionally, the GLA lacks access to Air units of any kind. American units are usually more expensive, but possess better damage, armor and unique abilities that increase survivability and combat effectiveness. Additionally, USA has the most advanced air arsenal in game. Chinese units are usually in between American and GLA units in terms of cost and individual units are proportional in effectiveness. However, most Chinese units benefit from "hording" together and will receive synergy bonuses when attacking together. All of the factions, when played in the correct order, create a storyline of events. Generals takes place in the near future. The United States and the People's Republic of China are the world's two superpowers, and are the targets of the Global Liberation Army, a large, well-organized terrorist organization, fighting as a fanatical irregular force. The United States and China are depicted as allies in the series, and frequently co-operate with each other throughout the storyline against the Global Liberation Army, which is depicted as an omnipresent, borderless organization with unclear goals beyond opposition to and expulsion of both China and the United States.

World builder
Generals also includes a map editor named World Builder for the PC edition only. The World Builder includes features such as:
  •  A terraforming tool
  • An intelligent road system, able to detect when the player wants an intersection
  • A tool to scatter flora around the map
  • Waypoints and area triggers that the AI can use. Waypoints also determine starting points for the players on a skirmish map.
  • A scripting system that was meant for the missions in the single-player campaign
